Hi, I’m Rick, the driving instructor behind Signal2Drive.

I provide calm, practical and structured manual driving lessons in Galway for learners at every stage, from complete beginners starting their first lesson, through Essential Driver Training (EDT), to pre-test preparation, refresher lessons and building confidence on the road.

My approach is straightforward: lessons should be clear, client-focused, relaxed and centered on real progress. Every learner is different, so I adapt each session to your experience, confidence level and goals. There is no pressure, no rushing and no unnecessary jargon, just clear guidance and plenty of time behind the wheel.

I am a fully qualified and registered RSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). This means your lessons meet nationally recognised standards for road safety, teaching ability and professional driver training.

Lessons take place in a 2025 Renault Clio Equilibre manual, fitted with dual controls to provide a safe and supportive environment in which to learn.

Whether you are nervous about getting started, returning to driving after time away, working through your EDT sessions or preparing for your driving test, I will help you develop the knowledge, judgement and driving habits needed to become a safe, confident driver.
